I think it’s best to understand pre and post operative measures you can take to prepare your body as best as possible for a surgical approach. Obesity, smoking, alcohol consumption, and overall health and lifestyle all contribute to how you will tolerate and recover. I had surgery with a high body fat percentage and was okay with that, knowing that I might get less than optimal results, but after 40+ years of living with gynecomastia I just wanted it gone.
